Job Description:The UTMB Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a highly motivated board-certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist to serve as the Medical Director of Anesthesia at Shriners Childrenâs in Galveston. As the Medical Director of Anesthesia, you will be responsible for providing senior leadership at all levels including guiding and providing clinical care, coordinating care with other departments and services, disseminating communication to assigned staff, providing updates to executive level leadership, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. As an academic institution, the selected anesthesiologist will also mentor and teach residents, fellows, and medical students. Clinical activities are expected to be distributed at the Shrinerâs Hospital for Children (80%) and at UTMB (20%).
