The prospective candidate will join a collaborative team of 5 pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists, 2 pediatric cardiac surgeons, 2 interventional cardiologists, and 2 pediatric electrophysiologists. The team on average performs 150 cardio-pulmonary bypass cases, 300 pediatric heart catheterizations, and 125 pediatric EP cases annually. -Pediatric Cardiac surgical cases include the complete spectrum of pediatric heart disease except heart transplantation -Mixed practice (pediatric/adult) with a majority of pediatric cardiac and pediatric general cases -Other cases may include the entire spectrum of pediatric and adult surgical cases -Participation in call rotation -Work with a team of 60+ Anesthesiologists, most with fellowship training (Pediatric, Adult Cardiac, Obstetric, and Pain) -Solo or care team model with CRNAs -Academic appointment opportunities available through the University of Virginia.
