Job Description:THE OPPORTUNITY: Faculty appointment within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Anesthesia and Critical Care Department. Competitive salary with incentive call pay as well as outstanding state employee benefits. Established group of 5 anesthesiologists and 8 CRNAs. Anesthesiologists perform their own cases as well as medically direct CRNAs. Excellent and congenial working relationship with CRNAs and surgeons. THE PRACTICE: Part of the only pediatric health care system in Arkansas. ACHNW currently has 5 operating rooms, 30 emergency department rooms, 42 clinic rooms, and 24 inpatient beds. The facility is rapidly expanding. Averaging 530 O.R. and 70 radiology (mostly MRIs) cases monthly. The group provides coverage for the operative suites, diagnostic imaging, special procedures, and perioperative pain management. Call responsibilities are taken from home. Post-call days off.
