This leader will oversee the fetal anesthesia service at the Fetal Center at Childrens Memorial Hermann Hospital, working closely with the Division Chief of Obstetric Anesthesia, Fetal Center Co-Directors, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Pediatric Anesthesia, and hospital administration. The role blends complex clinical practice with strategic leadership in program growth, research, and education. Key responsibilities include providing anesthesia care for obstetric and complex fetal procedures, directing the fetal anesthesia team, and advancing workflow, staffing, safety, and outcomes. The Director will promote multidisciplinary collaboration with surgeons, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, neonatologists, and nursing teams. Academically, the leader will build a strong clinical and translational research program, support faculty scholarship, and partner with training program directors to develop outstanding educational experiences, including fetal anesthesia rotations and the foundation for a future fellowship. The Director will engage in multidisciplinary conferences, perioperative planning, and family-centered care, serving as a visible advocate for the mission of the Fetal Center.
