Approximately 90% of clinical time is spent in the operating room, with occasional responsibilities including preoperative assessments and occasional PACU care. Surgical schedules vary from one to five days per week. Physicians collaborate closely with a highly specialized, multidisciplinary team that includes pediatric burn surgeons, plastic surgeons, physician assistants, perioperative nurses, physical and occupational therapists, and recreational therapy staff. This position includes a rotating 1-in-4 home call schedule. There are no resident or fellow teaching responsibilities within the Shriners program.
