SPA / JSPA 2003 Meeting

October 10, 2003, San Francisco, CA

Marc Chagall Showing at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

You are invited to an exclusive showing of renowned artist, Marc Chagall on Friday, October 10 at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art during the SPA/JSPA post-meeting reception. This exhibit comes from the National Museum in France and is a retrospective, featuring works from all periods of his career, including many never before seen in the USA. Borrowing from many art movements, but never quite following any one school, Chagall employs avant-garde techniques in works that embrace storytelling, allegory, memory, and religion. Vivid in color and texture, humor and fantasy, Chagall's art reflects a distinct and personal mix of sources and ideas.

You may view this exhibit (when the museum will be closed to the public) during the Friday evening reception, which is included in the meeting registration fee. Registrants may purchase additional guest tickets for this event, but only in advance by contacting the SPA office.

Meeting registration fees will increase on September 1, so don't delay. Register now!!
